Concrete Meets Elegance: Bullet+Stone Collection

The Bullet+Stone Collection stands out for its bold exploration of materiality. While concrete is a common element in contemporary architecture and interior design, its use in architectural hardware is a rarity. This unique collection allows interior designers to specify products in a wider range of finishes, connecting end-users to their surrounding interiors through new tactile experiences.

Each piece in the Bullet+Stone Collection is handcrafted in collaboration with local artisans, highlighting the natural variations of concrete. The concrete components sit atop a forged brass base, available in over 20 finishes, offering designers the flexibility to personalize their pieces.

The collection includes the Concrete Club Lever, Concrete Quad Lever, and Concrete Niki Knob, each offering a different tactile experience. The designers' aim was to reimagine the tactile and visual experiences shared with concrete, to better connect individuals with their interiors in captivating ways.

The Bullet+Stone Collection was prototyped in Melbourne, Australia at the beginning of 2018 and premiered at ICFF New York in May 2018. It has been recognized as an Honouree of the NYCxDesign Awards by ICFF and Interior Design Magazine in the hardware category and was a finalist in the hardware category of the 2018 Best of Year Awards held by Interior Design Magazine.

Despite the challenge of merging frequent hardware finishes with concrete, the designers found the solution in elegantly contrasting rough and sumptuous material finishes within a design that exhibits clean lines, simple curvature, timeless silhouettes, and refined proportions. The result is a product that beautifully suits any modern or contemporary interior setting.

The Bullet+Stone Collection, a Platinum A' Furniture Accessories, Hardware and Materials Design Award winner in 2019, is a testament to the designers' commitment to creating innovative and aesthetically pleasing designs that contribute to societal wellbeing.
